I encountered an "interesting" phenomenon which could be a defect (bug) or
expected behaviour (an odd "feature"). If a defect, it could be in the file
manager under Debian (Nautilus?).
If I attempt to rename a file in ~/local/share/applications/ when I save the
change, ".desktop" is appended
I want to say thank you to those members of Qubes Users who have had the
patience to answer my questions and solve my problems getting Qubes up and
running. I have been particularly pleased that this is a forum where there are
few, if any, unhelpful responses to questions and few

Worked like a charm!
Opened up "Konsole" in my whonix-14-gw and -ws templates
Ran this command:
sudo apt install python-concurrent.futures
I can now use the Sun/update icon to update my templates.
It seemes the benefits are:

I posted a couple of days ago about trying to install a dual boot KDE neon and
Qubes OS 4.0.1 on an HP laptop with a hybrid disk system -- 256G SSD and 1T
SATA. I had originally thought the problem was solved by installing Qubes
first and then KDE neon, since both would come up that way.

Having just installed Qubes 4.0.1 I am not able to get my 10Gb Intel X540-AT2
network card to work. It worked out of the box in Qubes 3.2.
This is what I get in the net-vm:
$ sudo dmesg |grep ixgbe
[2.737931] ixgbe: Intel(R) 10 Gigabit PCI Express Network Driver - version
5.1.0-k

Thanks for your patience, uman
It is the exec line that is the problem. In the work domain
I can run the script using:
sh /home/Scripts/myscript.sh
I guess that the menu exec statement is being run in dom0.
So how can the statement be changed to point to a file in
the work domain? Or,
