The solution outlined in step 5 above actually works fine -- the
inconsistent results were because I'd failed to remove an earlier
unsuccessful approach that sometimes interfered with the script.

80% of the time it behaves as expected - the offending module is
unloaded before suspend and reloaded after resuming - but the rest of
the time it either does not unload it pre-suspend, or does not reload it
after resuming.

I am trying to install Qubes 4.0.1 onto a HP laptop (model 151-da000).
It has a hybrid disk system, 250G SSD and 1 TB SATA. I had installed
KDE neon on the box, overwriting the native Windows installation, using
about 100G of the SSD drive. I am planning on making this a dual boot

Further down, there's a warning "If you do that on Windows
is doesn't work for me.
