I have a new KCMA-D8 based machine with petitboot installed. When I
attempt to boot from the Qubes 4 DVD, the install media is not
recognized by petitboot. Other installation media that I've tried, like
a Ubuntu CD, are recognized and I'm able to boot.

I'm running 20160818.g876c81c9 for petitiboot (via a ROM from Raptor
Engineering).
I tried a USB stick as well and got similar results.
For KCMA-D8 and similar users, how are you booting your Qubes
Do the Qubes devs recommend a specific payload to use with coreboot and
Qubes 4?
For those who are using coreboot with the Qubes 4 release candidates,
what payload are you using?
Have you run into any oddities with said payload detecting the install
DVD or USB stick as well as with the subse
I'm using Qubes OS as the sole OS on the system.

a SeaBIOS payload, have you been able to get Qubes 4 running with a PCI
video card?
I'm able to get it running with onboard video but not with an AMD PCI
graphics card.

FYI, for anyone who runs across this issue with getting a PCI graphics
card to work with a SeaBIOS payload, try disabling the onboard video via
the VGA jumper on the motherboard.
By physically disabling the onboard VGA via the jumper setting, I was
able to get Qubes 4 to boot with the PCI card
For a default install of Qubes 4, is there anything else that needs to
be done in regards to disk trims/discards for SSDs?

process was interrupted. Perhaps:

for AMD processors?
Are the latest spectre, etc. related updates for all applicable

I need help recovering my OS!
When I have fully started QubesOS, only *dom0 is up and ready* for use -
but *no Qube is booted up* whatsoever.
When I then try to start a Qube manually from the Qube Manager, i.e.
"sys-ubs", then I get the error message:
