Hello all
By chance i just saw 2 undefined ntp-servers showing up on my 3750 doing a
show ntp ass. I have defined 3 internal DCF77 servers and 1
Gps-Ntp_server.
The 2 scavenger ntp-servers are not mentioned in the running config - how
on earth can my switches be synching with them ? ? ?
/T
As allways i most humbly thank you for your time.
I appreciate it!
/T

Is this a potential risk og doesnt it matter? I mean - i take the time is
supposed be the same no matter where you ask, (with a little offset
adjustment).

Towli,
Routers are designed to route packets, not serve time.
If you can measure the timekeeing performance of your routers and the
results are good enough, then go for it.
Otherwise, find
to another NTP-server (like DCF nr 2 or the 3.rd configured server)
I am realy looking forward to a comment as i am a newbie on this.
Best regards from Denmark

today, but was wondering if this is a certain
sign of a defective clock, or just a sign of a realy messed up dcf77-signal
under poor receptions conditions...
What do you think in here?

Hi
I would like to test my internal clock (from my domain pc) against a public
ntp server, to see if there is a discrepance (i suspect our domain time is
not synchronised properly).
Is there a way to do this?

It seems that ntpd is a Unix-thing though. Does something similar exist to
