Great work and copious thanks to Rob & Alex!
Just wanted to add that the automated testing already prevented us from
releasing a buggy version of falsecolor yesterday, so Huzzah for the new
facility!

Hi German,
You cannot access two different scenes/octrees from the same process, so no use
in having different ambient files.
Again, it's a limitation in the design of the renderers and their use of global
data structures.
You need to spawn separate processes if you want to render multiple scene
Hi Sarith,
That's a good idea. I just didn't think of it. I'll figure out an appropriate
option and check it in.

Hi Terrance,
It's remarkable that you were able to sort this out without aid.
There's already a fairly sophisticated installation script written for trad,
which gets triggered by "rmake install" in the src/util directory. I wouldn't
know how to replicate this using cmake, unless it can call th
The bug seems to be an intermittent problem with the system select() call, for

rely on it. It's difficult to investigate as the main process hangs in the
system call and there is no way to determine why except by puttin

It's supposed to work on Windows, but maybe it will work for luminaires, too.

Hi Fritz,
The usual strategy is to convert to Radiance format, like obj2rad. I don't
know how often it's used, but the .OBJ format has a NURBS specification,
and it should be easy enough to support it with obj2mesh. That would have
the advantage of including surface normal smoothing and uv textu

Thanks, Jack. Any idea how portable Linux binaries are? Does it make

Yes, I compiled under 10.5 (Leopard) this time. Perhaps there's a way
