Great ideas. I think the best way to judge interest in a conference is to go ahead and issue a CFP and see how many submitted talks there are. Then you could get together with the probable presenters and schedule the time and location. On Jan 2, 2008 2:59 AM, Casper Fabricius <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I'd love to help with this effort, and would like to nominate New York City as a possible location. I can volunteer to help find a suitable venue, and of course would happily provide sightseeing assistance to those visiting from afar ;-) The reasoning for NYC (besides me living here) are man

[Radiant] Checkout from SVN or Gem

I tried out radiant and have decided to use it for my production site and I was wondering whether I should use the gem or checkout the latest version from svn. I am thinking of using the svn method and installing extensions with svn:externals. Is there any reason to do otherwise?

I second the idea about RailsConf. If we could tack it on as an extra day, that would be very convenient. An alternative idea would be to do a BoF (Birds of a Feather) at RailsConf. That way, a lot less planning and expense would be involved. - Ryan On Jan 2, 2008, at 10:31 AM, Marty Haught

[Radiant] page_attachments experience

I'm curious how well page_attachments has worked for others. I'm going to give it a try in my test environment, but wondering how it's worked for end users who may or may not be computer savvy (from a programmer's perspective). Are there any other options, aside from writing my own extension, curr

I'm pretty happy with page_attachments. The biggest headache for me was installing RMagick or image_science on my Mac dev machine (I don't know why this is still such a pain in the a$$!). It's running great on my Ubuntu Server though. Usability-wise, the thumbnails it adds to the page admin inte
