sorry for the stupid question.
I dont really understand programming and plugins and stuff. Never got
one to work so just tend to ignore them.
I can access a sleep mode, it is just a little fiddly is that correct?
I have already ordered so need to cancel quickly if there is no sleep
mode.
I wonder if Logitech realise what an asset this forum is to them
Thanks everyone - purchase made.

You can add Sleep to the main menu, otherwise you have to dig into the
settings menu. But it is there either way. :)
Or use a Squeezebox IR remote (it has a sleep button), or use KidsPlay
to assign one of the 1-6 buttons to be button sleep.

Or use iPeng. I'm sure the sleep function is available there, too.

Think the third party Squeeze plugins and applets are important?
Then 'vote for bug 14194'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14194) so more can be
made.
Don't have the SB radio, but my BOOM alarm wakes me every morning
playing an internet radio station from my favorites. Has worked
flawlessly everyday for a year or so

From amazon:
Yes, that is one of it's marketing ideas. Would I recommend such a

The absence of a simple battery backup ALONE makes this unacceptable
for alarm clock use, IMO.
My PS3 and AVR are both capable of streaming music,
I have double checked and I am definitely getting different bahviour
between being stopped and off. It may be related to this thread but I'm
not sure - if anyone is interested I have reported it as a bug:

Thanks iphone. That version is not out yet as an IPTK (if that's what
it's called), shame really but never mind.

there are ways to make a radio run with 7.3 (just search the forums).
Unfortunalely its a bit ugly (not all radio-stations playing - and
other annoying stuff).
That why I installed Debian Lenny on my Linkstation, needed this to get
my radio running as well ...

I don't know if the issues are related. Someone with a better
understanding is welcome to mark mine as
I haven't seen any regular alarm clock radio where the alarm can still
sound during a power outage. The 9v battery backup in these types of
alarms only keeps the correct time for when the mains power comes back
on. Many such alarms also break down after a while, can have their
volume levels at
