The single most important reason for me to use SBS instead of mySB.com
is the fact that SBS provides transcoding for real audio and some mms
streams. I cannot listen to those stations with mySB.com

Thanks ..found it and reconfigured radio and my thinking to use the
server .. fixed some issues w/ little snitch and 'hanging' disappeared
.. And, if my media server (Imac) crashes, I've got more important
things to do than listen to internet radio :)

Search for "custom clock". Erland has a screensaver which is pretty
flexible, and he just updated it to make it even more so.

Looking forward to that Minimum Brightness setting on the Radio! I wear
glasses (and obviously don't wear them when I sleep). The level it dims
to at night is too hard to read without my glasses on, which isn't an
option. So leaving it just a tad higher would be great. Having seen the

i've had the same issue with the radio over wireless (sb server running
on a mac though). my sb classic plays just fine, the radio plays about
40s of one song, goes back to the beginning of the song and loops

i reset factory settings on the radio, reinstalled the firmware and

If your server is on 24x7 there is no reason whatsoever to connect
explicitly to mysb.com. You can get all the mysb.com services via SBS,
and many fewer connection headaches.

No code needed, ignore that.
Just get your free Pandora setup.
Enter Pandora login details on
I am obviously missing something here...
Following your instructions, it appears Pandora wants some type of

Perhaps a little more detail would help.

Is it possible to run v7.4.2 on your NAS? A lot of work has gone into
improving the alarm reliability, but that work has gone into the 7.4.2
(and 7.5?) versions of the software. v7.4.2 is quite stable overall,
and is being readied for the next release.

You need:
1. a free www.MySqueezeBox.com account
2. a Pandora account
3. install the Pandora App on your MySB.com account from App Gall
I suffered a failed alarm this morning for the first time. I'm running

a radio station at 06:30 Monday to Friday. This morning, despite being
correctly set and displaying correctly it failed to go off. It had

And not to miss another big advantage of SBS: You have it in your own
hand if and when it is working. Logitech has/had some issues with their
MYSB.COM services, so that your squeezebox could be unusable at these
times!

New SB Radio, and I am now on Round X of setting presets and then losing
them. I am getting live streams from Internet radio, so I know that I

My radio still runs 7.4.1 and is having wireless issues.
How do I upgrade to 7.4.2 or beyond? The radio does not seem to detect
that there's a new version around. Is there?
Can anyone shed some light on this? Thank you!

Fortunately my issue is resolved. I ran a Vortexbox update and
rebooted the server - my guess is it was either the update or the reboot
that fixed the problem.
