If you're running SqueezeboxServer locally, you might want to try the

I let the 7.4.2-r8423 update install.
I can reproduce the error still. Besides walking in and discovering the
thing is once again lit, I can induce it:

There are other nice features of 7.5.0:
Fixed the boom remote (one-shot) volume issue where you only got 1-2
volume steps by holding volume button - also affected navication with
up/down arrows.
Allows you to setup automatic applet re-install after firmware update.

I'm not sure that the Radio firmware fix is in the nightly 7.4.3
release. I can verify, however, that it is fixed in the nightly beta
7.5.0 release. So
For anyone not following the bug-report.
It seems that the bug is already fixed in version 7.5 of
squeezeboxserver (you'll find it here
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.5).
If you install it, the radio will soon install firmware 8661 (or
higher).

Clock screensaver disappeared at my 2nd SBR too. This time I solved the
problem by syncing with my interims SBS 7.5.0 and then back to my
default SBS 7.4.1.

Thanks for the reply, Andy. I did post a similarly worded question at
the CBC Radio site. I also listed my query on the Squeezebox forum
because I was interested in learning whether others are experiencing
the same problem. It just seems odd that volume levels can vary on
certain stations.

Just got my battery and remote yesterday. This bug effectively makes it
a three-button remote: power on/off, pause and most importantly sleep
(I have actually put the remote on my nightstand 10 cm from the Radio
and 30 cm from my head).

Over the past few days, the volume level on CBC Radio One Sudbury and
CBC Radio One Victoria has been extremely low. I have to turn the

To find a solution for the 'play 10 minutes, then crash while playing

That worked great! The Radio played for hours without a single hickup.

I wasn't too sure about using iTunes integration, because it seemed to

To illustrate, as aubuti mentionned, I thought about using Windows

Squeezebox Server (SBS) can read playlists in the standard m3u format. I
think iTunes can export playlists in that format, but I'm not sure
because I haven't used iTunes in a long time. I mostly use MusicIP for
making playlists -- it works like iTunes' "Genius" and integrates very
well with SBS, a

Hi there!
I have a Squeezebox Radio at home, and I love it. The setup was easy
enough, and I haven't met any problem configuring it up to now.
However, there is ONE detail which prevents me from blessing this
little piece of marvel. Playlists.
My setup is fairly easy. I have a few computers at
