It's not the lack of the special features that I am complaining about.
(Although they would be lovely and make it so I could use my Radio at
home for long podcasts instead of having to turn on the computer and
download everything to my mp3 player.)It is Mediafly.com itself which
is totally opaque.
Hi all. Just hooked up my new SB Radio and it downloaded the latest
revision of the firmware. I am able to set the alarm for M-F at 6:00
a.m., have it turn on to Pandora, and everything. The one problem I am
having, is that regardless of whether I click "Snooze" or "Turn Alarm
Off", the alarm alwa

I have the same prob, but it goes off after 1 minute, not 9.
It happened before the last upgrade (7.5.1, I think) and has continued
since.

Mediafly on Squeezebox is not perfect. We need to make the Mediafly
experience better. It's a great servic

Sounds like a bug to me.
I don't know what's going on, but could you try some things to help
diagnose the issue?
Do you have other Squeezeboxes? If so, can you verify that the alarms
for those players are:
1. Off
2. If On, verify that the alarm time, sound, etc. are set properly?
I don't know if it's unique to my situation, but with 9009, I've also
walked by the radio in the middle of the day and found the "Connecting
to MySqueezebox.com" screen displaying, sometimes over and over. And
when this "loop" starts, I have no recourse but to reboot the radio,
and then it's fine

Yes!

Probably for 2 reasons, one for security so that no one else can change
your preferences/settings, and Two, so that your radio can find and sync
with your unique account
Yes, www.MySqueezeBox.com is completely free.
Heck, get a free account now and start poking around. It won't play
audio on your computer but you can at least get a feel for what is
available once you purchase the Radio.

Can't help you with your problem but the natural sounds are not "built

The snooze on my squeezebox radio is not working correctly. I use
mysqueezebox.com and don't run a local squeezebox server. I have the
alarm set for Monday through Friday with the snooze set to 10 mins.
The alarm comes on at the correct time and than I hit the snooze.
Instead of waiting 10 min
Ok, 4th day, same old problems. Correct stream started, stopped after 5
seconds, then the backup alarm faded in (although the internet
connection was ok all the time), then I started the stream manually via
preset button, but it stopped after a few minutes and then only
silence.
-> maybe a little
Thanks, just did that and I'm on 9009 now with SBS 7.52
I was wondering, because it's mentioned nowhere on the nightly download
site.

I run my SB Radio in this manner, listening mostly to internet radio
stations, and the only caveat I will mention is that some radio
stations stream in formats that are not natively supported by the radio
or mysqueezebox.com. In my area for example, there are half a dozen
statons that appear only
Yes, thrugh mysqueezebox.com.
The same answer goes for all the squeezeboxes. With a mysqueezebox.com
account, the squeezebox will get the list of radio stations and stream
through the logitech run site. You can control which stream to listen
to either from the mysb web site, or through the butt
hello All,
I would like to give the Radio as a gift to a friend that would hardly
manage the complexity of a Squeezebox server.
All she needs is being able to listen to internet radios.
Is it capable to stream radio from the internet without a
Squeezeserver?
thanks for reading,

Radio Firmware 9009 on wired network.
One alarm set to 7:30am with built in natural sound of "Rooster Crow"
Alarm sounded on time.
Turned off (not snooze) alarm with the option shown on screen.
After 9min (set snooze time), Backup alarm fires for no reason.

Mpower...thanks for taking the time to explain podcasts to me. I plan on
taking your advice and attempt to add some podcasts to the podcast
player.also, getting the Nancy Grace show entered now sounds possible.
Thanks again.
