I played around with a few settings:
802.11b/g/n-mixed : my original setting; frequent disconnections;
doesn't work reliably
802.11g/n-mixed : same
802.11g only : for some reason won't even connect
802.11b only : works perfectly
802.11b/g-mixed : works perfectly
What gives?? The squeezebox
Hi Michael,
Yes - using a longer interval resolves the issue.
Unfortunately though the radio just ignores the longer interval setting
when configuring the slideshow to play when the radio is off. Ie I set
it to 60 seconds and turn the radio off but it then starts showing
slides with a 10 second

communications, should it??
No, it shouldn't. N-mode should be 100% backwards compatible with
G-mode units. I suspect your router is doing something non-standard.
What wireless channels are you trying? I
With the release of 7.5.4 I loaded it today and this has resolved the
problem. I now see the full set of options and the bottom of the
screen is as Peter314's post. Radio4 Extra works.
It does beg the question why the set of options was reduced, however.
Thanks all.

Very interesting indeed. It shows the Radio isn't just a bunch of parts
thrown together hoping for the best, but someone has actually spent
some time thinking it out. Nice!

My Android app worked great for a while until new firmware for my radio.
Is this app just WiFi, or can work 3g/4g?
Now, never seems to work right on my HTC Incredible and my Samsung
Galaxy. Both on WiFi at home.
Anyone have any good comments about the Logitech LCD remote? Or should

I can't even use my SB Radio now. Doesn't matter what kind of media I'm
playing, I can barely get more than 2-3 minutes before it quits
whatever it's doing and bounces back to the main screen. Even then, I
am able to watch my entire list of apps disappear and then reappear.
Can't stream Sirius,
This rather sounds like bad mysqueezebox.com reception than a broken
firmware.
I'd wait two days before struggling with changing firmwares

Slacker and ShoutCast are working fine for me with Radio on MySB.com (I
don't use Sirius) so it is unlikely a firmware issue.
More likely an EU MySB.com issue if anything, I'm on the US MySB.com
here.
Have you tried a router reboot? Can't hurt. :)

There are a number of android apps for controlling Squeezeboxen. Most
(including myself) prefer SqueezeCommander. It costs a little but well
worth it. I also think its the only one that works on 3g.

Hi,
I use my new squeezebox radio with Deezer a lot.
I have a premium deezer account.
When I listen to one of my playlists, it sometimes jumps to the next
song, without any reason.
Sometimes, it completely stops playing and I have to press the next
button so I have music again.

You probably disabled the Extension Downloader plugin which is what
creates the more complex plugin page. If this happens again just
enable it.
