Couldn't see anything in the router logs but I'll take a closer look
next time it happens. I've mostly seen it when an alarm has been
playing on the Radio but that might just be because the Radio is in the
bedroom and
Hiya Erland,
Any chance of isolating the laptop away from the Radio to see if it is
somehow interfering? Maybe try not using the alarm on Radio for a few
days?
Dunno what else I can suggest. My Radio streams 24/7 via WiFi and
never shows a red or blue icon. It will stop streaming a station
Probably not the issue, but can you set a static IP address for the
radio. This will exclude any DHCP issues.
I have only one WIFI connected player and it is a RADIO with about 75%
WIFI strength. It is synched to my other players, and like Toby10, it
never loses connection for months at a time,

I am at my wits end trying to get my local talk radio station WOC 1420
to play on my Squeezebox. It connects and even shows the correct
program information on the screen but the audio just sounds like
static. It used to work sporadically, but the last couple weeks it
doesn't work at all. I

The problem is the station, it is broadcasting static on that link.
Most other online portals for stations do not even carry WOC, the one
other one that I found that does simply gives an error message (not
even static).
Thanks for checking it out for me. At least now I
Nothing announced. May happen next week, may never happen. I wouldn't

Nothing shows on the screen as you noted except the moving dot. However
if you push the fast forward button once, a timeline will pop up in a
box showing how far you are into the track or podcast.
It will not actually fast forward unless you push the FF button again
while the timeline box is on
The next thing you and your dad should check out are podcasts. If your
dad has any particular interests no matter how esoteric or favorite
shows that are broadcast at a time that is not convenient for him they
are often retained on line as podcasts. (Good for broadcasts in

You could ssh to the Radio and then use a command line web browser like
lynx to accept the terms. You'd first have to copy an Arm build of lynx
to the radio though, as unsurprisingly it doesn't ship with one...
Though it is possible that you won't be able to ssh
Wow. Quite amazing, thank you for the suggestions and the link.
I have to let him explore what he has (that I set up) already bit by
bit and get used to it all.
Just tonight he commented that this idea of limitless choice is not
something that my generation is used to or always comfortable
