question of how easy/difficult a new release is to install? Can it go
right over top of the currently installed version? Do I lose any custom
settings or setup parameters? Correct me if I'm wrong but you're telling
me that my D

Ok. I see it, but only for the T
It's in the player menu in LMS settings, I don't have a Duet myself but
see no reason why that won't have the same options.

My 4-5 year old SBRadio seems to be getting a loose connection of the
power plug.
It happened two or three times during the last weeks that I've heard the
Radio playing a sound (as if it has booted up? - not sure) while it
should be in standby. It then displays that it's on battery while the

It might also be worth trying the beta 7.8 version of LMS. That has an
option for "defeat destructive play" which instead of clearing a
playlist and plating a track if you accidentally single tap it gives you
a pop up to add to playlist, play next or play

good advice for making playlists within the LMS webGUI. Once you're
happy with the basics described above, you might want to add the plugin
(LMS > SETTINGS > Plugins, tick the "show all 3rd party plugins" and
then tick "Playlist Manager (v6.0)" by Phillip Meyer. This will give you
a few more playl
Unlike some other systems, LMS has a "Current Playlist" that is an ad
hoc play list to which you can add single tracks, multiple tracks,
albums, even radio stations, to at any time.
I don't have a Duet with Controller, so can't really tell you how to add
tracks using the Controller, but I'm sure
Hi garym;
Thanks for the reply. I am implementing your suggestions. The crossfade
thing was already set to none. I don't have "LAME" installed (yet?) so
the 'bitrate limiting' parameter is greyed out. Before I get into how
little I know about LMS & Squeezebox let me tell you about my .flac
