Router firewall should have nothing to do with connecting to WiFi, leave that alone. Nor does having LMS running affect player connection to WiFi. Forget Controller for now, just get Radio connected manually. Radio > Settings > Advanced > Networking > Choose Network > Wireless Does it list any

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I'll try to comment on each. 1. The router does operate on 2.4Ghz (and 5 GHz) 2. I'm reluctant to turn off encryption until I've exhausted everything else. I'm afraid I'll have to reset everything for all devices when I switch it back on again. 3. I
