struggling to help you as you are not explaining what
you really want. The current version of your story is completely
different to what you started with. Plus you seem unwilling to actually
try anything else than your solution.

WOW! Can definitely do better.
Get a player app for your phone. (ihpone right?). Use ipeng. Your
phone just needs to be connected to the same wifi as your LMS.

It might be worth telling us what you are trying to achieve. People
here can then suggest set-ups that would help you achieve that. You
seem to be halfway down a solution that doesn't seem typical.

files (and local urls).
The Radio would then be connected to your Pi server. Your control
device (phone?) can then connect to the webgui (or via an app) over the
internet to control the radio.

router may be broadcasting on a wifi channel which is not
available in the US and therefore your Radio won't listen on that
channel. It's just a setting though so it should work once you change
the setting.

Firstly it can be far easier and faster to access using the artist/album
menus, but you may prefer your browsing structure.
After selecting play on folder one you could browse to the next folder
and add it (using + button) to the end of the playlist.
I also think there is away to make multiple
reconnecting every minute.
Try setting bit rate limiting for the player. This should lower the
badwidth requirements.

The device should be in the harmony database. I added my new touch
without even putting a battery in the remote.

to rescan only playlists too. Any files
referenced by a playlist that is not in the library should be added
too.
Agree that it would be good if you can do it without the workarounds.

If you add the podcast as a favourite, you should then be able to select
it as a favourite in your alarm drop down.
Not sure if this will play the latests podcast though.

I don't use itunes or pandora so can't help you there.
3) Time display is a setting. Where did it stop displaying time? Look
for the screensaver settings and set the relevant screensaver for when
playing\when stopped\when off to what you want it to display.

View
snooze.
If you do it fast you won't hear the next song and thus you will be
surprised when the snooze alarm goes off next. If you do hear the next
song and its good you may even get motivated to get up :)
