I am unable to connect to my home server via IP from the radio.
I have port 9000 (TCP) and 3483 (TCP and UDP) properly forwarded from
my home server, and I can hit the Squeezebox Server web interface via
the IP @ 9000. The Squeezebox radio is getting an IP at the remote
location and can connect
There may be a way to do this. Have a look at http://www.neorouter.com.
It has some proxy capabilities.

Thats a limitation in all squeezebox hardware players and also
squeezeplay.
You can only enter an ip adress as the server adress.
There is an ingnored enhancement req for that.
If your isp can give you fixed ip your ok, or like my isp the IP is
semi permanent they only change it when necessary,
I'd like to move my Squeezebox Radio to my office and use my home
Squeezebox server. I'm able to connect to this using Softsqueeze, so it
would seem that it would be possible to do the same with the radio... My
home server has dynamic DNS setup, so I can get to it via name. I can't
