I know that generally a Touch, Transporter or SB2/3 is better for audio out quality. That being said I have two SB3s and one SB Radio. When I first purchased the SB Radio I wanted to use it as it's designed. Since then my needs have changed and I wanted to know if anybody else has tried or had

I know this is not what you are asking, but wouldn't it be easier to just sell the Radio, and purchase a used SB3. The net cost would likely be almost nothing. Or better yet, think about a TOUCH! Of course, it may be that you get enjoyment from these sort of projects and that's good too.
