My 2nd SBRadio (UE Smart Radio really) has just arrived - 76GBP
including shipping from Logitech UK store in their "closeout" section.
Part of that discount was because of a 1 day promotional code.
The cross-grade to SBR worked flawlessly.

So it was a good decision to shop the 99 offer today from Saturn
Germany. Want to upgrade my Bluetooth radio setup in the bathroom to a
battery powered WiFi solution.

I think they have to take a guess somewhere , a lot of us have unused
squeezeboxes as spares ?
Someone is probably sitting in UE radio .
They probably go from when all inventory is gone , b

@aubuti
For the Smart Radio this is NOT the case. Without UESmartRadio.com the
Smart Radio will be a brick.
So I'd guess they'd at least somehow have to move people over to a
Squeezebox firmware which will be especially interesting for those whom
they convinced to "upgrade" to the UE firmware in

Actually, the big question is, now that they've finally given up
completely on finding a use for SB hardware and software, will they
finally sell the darn thing to someone who might have an interest in
reviving the product? It's not worth much anymore, but I bet by now
they've written the whole t

Shame that Logitech did not have an end of line sale on the UE Radios in
germany...
Well now Squeezebox is truly officially dead. I wonder how long they
will be keeping mysqueezebox and the UE streaming site open now...
I use MOG and therefore rely on the site.

A shame, but I can't really say I'm surprised, after dropping the Touch
and Radio and introducing the Smart Radio I guess this was inevitable.
I hope my boxes will continue to function for many years yet, and that
we see some replacement

If the UE Radio is dead then that really is a shame.
Bagged a Radio in the post Xmas sales for £99 here in UK. The "switch to
squeezebox" process was painless so at least Logitech must have invested
some time in making it possible.
I still think SB is better than Sonos but my son has got a Sonos for
Christmas so I shall be able to properly compare
The Logitech site for Singapore still shows the Smart Radio, but for
S$329! (approx US$269). Logitech always managed to price the
Squeezebox products absurdly high here.

The going price in the US is now $120, mostly from small resellers
(Amazon Marketplace, etc. -- congrats, m1abrams, on your $99 score). I
sure hope there's good news around the corner, but this does feel like
the end, the supply dwindling & driving up prices. If that's the case,
well, good luck, M

US one.

The answer to your thread question is almost certainly yes.
Squeezebox as a product family was moved a few years ago to Ultimate
Ears (UE), the "cool" audio arm of Logitech acquired through
acquisition. About a year after UE took over Squeezebox they announce
the "Smart Radio", the same hardware
Might explain the deep discount we saw on them a few weeks ago. Picked
