I know exactly where you are Graham, as I had the same issue. My work around was to use mp3tunes locker. Essentually, I have most of my music stored at mp3tunes and rarely use the PC now to play my music. So I am permanently connected to MySqueezeBox.com. I hated having to switch between MSB.com

Hi there. I would like to have a "Switch to mysb.com" button right there in the "Home" menu. That would make it MUCH easier to switch between SBS and mysb.com. I can do this with the SBC and the Boom. Why not with the Radio? Maybe you can easily switch between the two and I just don't get it...

I don't think I've yet come across such a compelling case for the dreaded "user option" :-) If only there was an option ( a per-player setting) to choose what should happen when a player request (like an alarm) needs a server and there isn't one of any sort currently connected to that player...

I don't own a SB radio but I have a variety of squeezeboxes and they all work flawlessly with mysb.com and using it's alarm function. I would suggest that you download the server power control plugin. it is a great tool for controlling when your squeezecenter server is on and when you use the mysb

Maybe I asked a silly question. Certainly there is no way that running a computer in addition to the radio is saving power, neither is leaving a ocmputer on continously using less power than turning it off when not in use. I could, of course, get another low power computer just to run the server

The alternative is having all the compute power to decode streams at the SB Radio. Many on this forum have lived that past and know that running SBS is a superior solution in terms of performance and power. My recommendation is to work on making the machine you run SBS on as power efficient as p
