I've a squeezebox radio since 2 weeks.
Everything works fine but i've a problem with LCD display.
3 days after the first start of the SB, i see 4 halo on the LCD.

You mean the backlight? It's only a problem when the room is dark and
the display bright, right? If so, the solution is to lower the
brightness of the display. It's under Settings in the Radio's menu.

I'm surprised because I have not seen
The display on the Radio is fine. You simply need to set it to automatic
brightness control (which is the default setting) and adjust the minimum
brightness to your liking. The Radio has a light sensor and will adjust
the LCD brightness according to the ambient light. The default minimum
brightnes
Have you adjusted the Brightness settings to be very low output when the
light sensor kicks in?
Radio > Settings > Brightness, set to AUTO and set Minimum Brightness
to be very low.

I have 4 SB Radios. The white one that I bought on last November has
the same problem. I called Logitech. They sent me a replacement but
still the display still has the same problem.

And you are 200% sure all 4 radios have the same brightness settings ?

I have the same problem on one of my radios. The other three I have had
(and the one of those I do still have) don't show it and I have never
ever changed any of the brightness settings.

Mine looks the same.
I have only noticed it on start up but then I haven't gone looking. I
didn't expect too much of the display. It bit too small to be a prime
selling point.
Once there is something other than total black to display it looks OK.
I thought the poor uniformity of the back light

Might be the choice of backlighting technology causes it but my other
Radio definitely looks better and it's also nothing to do with the
brightness, tu
This is not settings problem. The brightness should be uniform with any
setting. All my radio use auto brightness setting and black wallpaper.

I just noticed that my new SB Radio has much more bleed than the old
one. So yeah, I concur it's a real effect. But still it doesn't bother
me much. (Although I would have prefered to stay ignorant.) ;)

my radio started after 3 days after having it dec. 26 2011 but works
just fine changed the brightness that fixed mine
