No, Benedict, it's not a rear hanger. It only has one tapped end, and no cable slot. William wa correct, I feel. It's to mount a reflector. It's nicely machined, however, and could be used to hack something. I won't toss it. You never know… From: Benedikt

If you use good technique, good patch and good glue, a patch's bond can be stronger than the underlying tube.
