I know its a long shot, but seeing if anyone wants to trade a one year old,
one owner 63cm AHH frameset for a 61. bike has been ridden, but is in nice
shape with a couple of chips. i know its a long shot, but if this doesn't
happen the frame will be for sale, or the whole bike.
thanks
I have an almost new pair of 26x2.15 (55mm) Big Apple liteskins if you are
looking for a really plush ride!

Hey All -
Poked around with search and couldn't find anything.
I am about to get my Sam. It's a 64 cm. I am getting the Dureme 40's.
I wanted to get the hammered honjo fenders, but am now thinking that they
won't fit. What do you guys think? Anyone have the same/similar setup on a

I sympathize. I did the same for 8 days, but curiosity finally trumped
caution. I was the last one in the pool.

No connection to me, accept that I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it were a

find a canti-Rom complete bike for $1000. The seller says it's 24 c-to-c,
making it a 62cm?

I'm in a state of joke overload over that statement. Or at least envy.

Riv's measurements are C-T, so this would be the 63 cm. Let's say the difference between C-C and C-T were 1.5 cm. (That's just an estimate without actually looking at a frame).
63 cm C-T would become 61.5 cm C-C, which would be 24.2" after converting. So even if I'm wrong on the 1.5 cm part,
Congratulations! You will love the Riv Ride.

Yeah, all you need is a 135 mm axle and some spacers. I moved a 7
speed from a 130mm bike to a 135mm Riv too. You will need to redish
the wheel a little unless you are starting from scratch. Easy.

What's the top tube length on that?
Some very tall frames from that era are not so long. I have a
Centurion from about 1983 in my rafters that I remember as being a
62/56. I called it a hunchy frame.

the Hugey Fuji probably qualifies as 'hunchy'. I think it's more like a
58cm c-t-c on the level top tube, but I'll measure.

Oh my, now that you point it out, this whole thread is really funny!
My black one is showing some asymetrical wear.
The tan one is turning a richer brown every summer.
The eyes on the green one are stretched a bit;
otherwise, she's perfect.
But I can't bear to part with any of them.
Sorry!

Congrats, Rex. A fine ride like a Hilsen deserves a fine set of
wheels... That makes all the difference (in my opinion)... I splurged
a bit on a 7-speed freewheel Phil Wood hub on my Bomba (not too
pricey) and am so glad I did.
I say beg, borrow or steal whatever you need to get the wheels YOU
