Starting a new thread to discuss the Riv/country bike rally to be held in the
Twin Cities September 26-28, 2014.
I envision everybody coming in to town on Friday the 26th for a meet-and-greet
at Hiawatha Cyclery, then spending the next two days riding around the twin
cities. Hiawatha Cyclery,

Great may I suggest http://doodle.com/?locale=en for the voting of date.

At this early point, then, Jim, a simple Thanks! for putting the idea out
there. Momentum will build, no doubt. Tom (Miami, for which you don't
want to know the forecast today)

That's a great idea to have the sequoia pass down to another generation. My

they figured California homes didn't need insulation lathe plaster. So
I'll do the spray in variety. The list is long but it's fun too.

Thanks for the very thorough review. I'm tempted by the Cambium, primarily
by the ability to get the seat further back than on a B-17.

The Cambium will be my next saddle for sure. Depending on how it feels, it
could possibly replace my Professional. Generally being a B-17 guy, the Pro
sits on the fence. I'm sort of waiting to see one in person before finding
one.

I had to take a trip down to the Bay Area for family. Upon arriving at the

Brooks sent me an e-mail suggesting I apply to test a prototype cut out
version of the Cambium. I am happy with the regular Cambium nor have I
ever used any sort of cut out saddle. As such, I don't think I would be a
very good test subject.

I signed up, again, for the cut-out Cambium. I doubt I'll be chosen as I
did get to test the original. However I'm thinking it may be just a bit
'springier' (a high technical saddle term) and thus mimic a more broken in
leather saddle a wee bit better. That would sell me on using it full time

I made mine using X-PAC from rockywoods.com, 1/4 closed cell foam from eBay,
and cheap remnant ripstop from Joann's. 3 wide, no flare at front. The ripstop
formed a liner around the inner perimeter, and the foam was sandwiched in
between. The foam is important as it keeps things from rattling
