Wow. Great topic. How far back to I go? Well, let's move from beyond the
Stingray years into when I started to want a road bike. Back then they came in
lugged steel, fillet brazed steel, welded or Schwinn's electro-forged
construction. Lugged and fillet brazing were cool and the hallmark of
I pulled the trigger on Gran Bois Hetre Extra Legers. Comfortable, fast
rolling, light. They do hit that 650B 42 mm sweet spot. Today was the
maiden voyage, and I was happy. We will see about puncture resistance and
wear.
Had they been available, I might have went for the Babyshoe Pass XLs.
Looks like a full, high dollar Rando build. Nice!!

I actually asked that very question when I originally bought my Hilsen and
was not only told no, but absolutely not and that Grant would not allow it.
I wish I could spring for a custom, but my whole point in looking for a
trade is because I cant make up the difference on a new Hilsen, much less
I am pretty certain RBW can offer cantis on a Homer as an upgrade
during build. That is indeed a temptation!
Also, I have confirmed RnR tires do not fit a (1st batch/Nobillete)

If that is true than I guess that would be the only bike that would fit
those and fit you. Good luck on the search, I am sure someone has one they

The first 'stars not aligning' moment: The used Paul Touring Cantilevers I
picked up for this build had a missing part. So I couldn't finish the
build completely, until I get a replacement bit. I took the opportunity to
order a set of Rock and Roads at the same time. As I wait for the par

Eileen and her A.H.H. for a splashy appearance. Lots of fun and smart
