Huh. the 8 speed Shimano 11-34 cassette costs $13 and the chains cost less than the 9-speed. That's a lot of cost for a lower gear I don't need except in the 36 front ring. Plus the potential change in shifting performance. H. Anyone know why Rivendell doesn't carry the 11-34 8x cassette? ht
