Regarding footwear, I know most are not a fan of clipless shoes, but I
would suggest at least looking at a pair of 45NTH Wolvhammer boots. They
have 100% changed winter cycling for me. I went on a 12 hour ride last year
in February, -25C, and never had cold toes. Not even cool toes. They have a

I appreciate cyclocross, but don't participate. I think it reflects my
attitude about racing, which is shared by many in the list. I'm an
unracer. I'm not competitive and prefer to have fun in a group instead of

I wouldn't say I'm uncompetitive (I'm no monk, well not anymore)
I kind of want to say I'm less organized but I guess that's wrong too.
But the idea of an organized event whose only purpose is competition makes
me think there are better ways to spend my time.
Of course, to each their own.

I don't want to race and the older I get the less I want to ride on cold,

that it hasn't been cooped by BIG MONEY. I can't think of a single sport

Anyone aware what the price is on the new, hub-area-bag-inspired panniers?
They look like bags I've tried making but failed at. I'd rather not go

I sent that along with three or four other minor typos/omissions. No
price! You have to think it's the identical amount of work as the hub area
panniers with just a bit more material. I'll predict $165. $20 more than
the HA Panniers. But you'd have to call to know for sure
