I think any time you are doing a repaint it is a great time to think about
braze ons. Mid-fork braze-ons are a super enhancement for any bike.
While you are at it, I will add that I really like fork tips that have a
braze on both on top and underneath. The underneath one you'll use for a

Wow! An original orange! Nice find!
As we've posted in the past, that paint job was complex, and uses some less
common colors and paints.
The only other thing to be aware of was that some 1st Gen Rams had a rear
brake bridge placement which was off, so you might need to be mindful of

Fair enough, though I was mostly interested in folks experiences with the
similarly extra expensive stems. But then the stems are probably even more
subject to fetishizing charges since they don't even have the sometimes

Thanks for the color reference! Very helpful.
I understand what you're saying about keeping the original orange. The frame

Have you tried the grease that’s recommended for carbon steerers? It has a bit
of grit in it to improve the grip of the parts. I’ve used it in the past on a
carbon steerer and a seatpost, and it worked as advertised.

The Hetre has thicker tread than the Babyshoe Pass tire. I think 3.5 mm
