Well written. I look forward to hearing your and Eric's reports of PBP.
Curious: what sort of gearing do you use for this hilly route? What is your
cruising gear range (for flat terrain, low wind conditions)? What speed did
you average over the 128 miles?

Anyone have thoughts about using a Dirt Drop stem paired with some Noodle

Pros? Cons?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

This is exactly why I am contemplating going with the ird stem mounts. It
really seems like maybe that is the best place for shifters and upright bars.

I am riding the RnR in 700 c on my All Rounder and have never felt so sure

Well I'm thinking a 58cm Atlantis might just be a tad bit too long for me
in the top tube.
But I wanted to pair it with an 8cm Dirt Drop stem, hopefully it'll work!
Thanks!!

I actually quite like the look of the dirt drop with most bars other than full
uprights. Something sorta badass about it. I have the 8cm on my hunq with
albastache. I can't imagine going longer, but the top tube on the hunqapillar
is quite long. Not sure how it compares to the Atlantis top
To me the Dirt Drop is to bring you up and back. The DD I purchased was
specifically for the mustache bar so I went 8. I would much rather err
being a little more upright, than a little too stretched out. If you were

My Atlantis came with that set up. I don't think there is anything wrong with
the pairing, especially if you want the bars up and back. I think it especially
helps if you like to use the drops without being so deep on the bike. Some
would see it as an odd aesthetic, but I like the DD with about
