Thanks for sharing this Patrick. I'm keen to try some TBs when my current

They do make some plastic sleeves that can go over the cables in that
situation. I don't know if they are worthwhile or where to buy them though.

If you are talking about ridges cast into the bottom bracket shell, then yes.
The cables ride in the channels of the ridges.

My Suntour Superbe seem to be broken (dont ratchet anymore - no idea what
happened). They worked well, I didn't like them on my Bob Jackson, took
them off, they sat..now they don't ratchet or hold their position..

I copied the basket hack that Bill Lindsay posted about. Just unwind all the
wires on the sides and back then drop the top ring down rewind the wires.

Dammit. I ditched the rear brakes on 2 bikes with an *ENO* hub, which is
less cooperative with rear brakes than properly sloped axle slots. Your
sloped track ends (alright, Sheldon, I said it right) ought to accommodate
rear pads and axle movement a lot better than the *ENO.*

Pelican cases also provide good protection. The key is a case with a decent
lip so if you drop the phone the screen doesn't hit the ground.

rack and Wald 137 basket aren't going to play nicely with my 40cm wide drop

Yes. This was the bike. I didn't get a chance to talk to him because there
