I don't know the Quill, but have been really happy with my set of TB14s. For me, they've been what you were asking about: light-ish and fast. Plus they do look snappy. This wheel set has been on two bikes-- an Appaloosa for commuting and around town, and a Sam for open road and gravel.

Thanks for this Justin. I had a feeling there were different sizes per run. I have a 60cm from the earlier run I believe, but the headtube is really tall so it effectively fits like a larger bike, which is good for me. I'll give the MAPs a try, should be here shortly, and try out some drop bars

I personally would go for either Shimano or Campy hubs, with either the TB14 or Pacenti Brevet, 14/15 db spokes. Quiet, smooth, reliable, light. Royce hubs are nice, too. Note that with 11 so, the cog spacing is pretty well identical between Shimano & Campy.
