Assumptions based on bar type sure are foggy. Drop bars can be mounted on almost anything and not limiting of shifters, thumbs have been mounted up on the flats and Genevalle puts them on brake levers. I suspect IRD's differentiation is about bottom bracket width and "drop bar" being equated t

Commuting in Michigan I have learned to use Grabber Toe warmers. I place them on top of my wool socks on the top of my feet under my Chrome boots. They last for hours, so, after a shorter ride, place them in a zip lock bag, squeeze the air out and seal them up. They will still be working the

You shouldn't change the spindle length because the spindle length is primarily used to determine chainline. What you should do is to look for a BB spindle length 122mm, but with a 2.5mm offset*. Then you can use a lipless mounting ring to secure the shorter cartridge BB in the wider BB shell.
