Thanks for all the responses. I think I like all the colors.
Bill Lindsay: the cream-with-red-or-blue Roadeos apppear white to to me.
Perhaps the difference doesn't show up in the photos? Are these Roadeos the
same cream as the headtube cream on other Rivs?

I use one of these:

time work from home. Rack height was set as a compromise with just enough
wiggle room between saddle/bars
Jim S asked something about shades of white. I don't know which photos of
which bikes you are referring to, but my cream with red Roadeo has the same
cream color as the head tube of my other Rivendells. At least close enough
that they appear identical to me. I imagine there may be an actual W
I'm pretty sure that I dislike black components on bikes. Oh, I can handle
a black derailer or some brakes, I guess. But all black stem, bars,
seatpost, crank, etc is, I'm thinking, not my cup of tea. I'm more of a
decaf espresso type.
Any who — can anyone share with me pictures of nice builds
I wish I had a better pic of this, I bet someone does. But this Platypus built

Hi, Minh.
I have two racks. One is in my living room (see pic, a Craigslist
purchase), the other in my Breezeway. The rack in the breezeway is a Delta
"lean on the wall" model. Not as secure, but also the feet don't stick out
as much, so less tripping hazard as I walk (slink) by. Also, I ke

Maybe Bill Lindsay will show his Amethyst Smoke Legolas with black
components. I love that bike and the build he chose for it. (I love most of
Bill's bikes and the builds he chooses for them.)

On Friday,
I don't have a cream-accented Rivendell to compare directly to my Roadeo,
but on its own, one would call it white (with red accents), not cream. In
reality, it is an off white that was selected specifically to soften the
overall look of the bike just a tad. I confirmed this with Mark Abele at

Not a Rivendell but here’s my Kelly Roshambo (now with black pedals). The bike
itself is kind of a coffee bean color.

I have a 62 cm green Hunq that I bought from Riv in 2014. I believe I was
told the frame came from Waterford at that time. Ordered in April 2014 and
delivered July 10. I have Nitto Noodles on and use the bike as much as
possible. It's a pleasant ride, though I may change the Noodles out to

Nice Roadini, Bones. I'm becoming very partial to black rims with machined
(silver) sidewalls.

For me, whether or not black components work on a bike depends a lot on the
frame color.

Most everything has sold. The only thing left is the Dakine shorts.

Those SimpleOne's lead a hard life, don't they? I haven't seen one in years

The less black the better, on my bicycles. But I'll tolerate

Bill,
I briefly owned a Wabi Classic single speed that seemed to be quality
built, with 725 Reynolds tubing. But, the ride wasn't satisfactory as it
had short chain stays and a short overall wheelbase. It was a fun quick
ride but in the end I sold it. Good luck with your search for a Rivendell

for my Roadini but no longer need. Both pairs are used but they have plenty
of life left in them. The treads intact, tires are clean, and there are no
issues with them whatsover.

Hi All!
I came across a box of sackville stuff after a recent move. This is all
brand new never used (we used to own a shop that sold Rivs). Looks like
most of this is out of stock, so might be your lucky day if you've been
waiting :-)
Here's a list:
