You can get it to work with the larger cogs, up to 32 teeth, but when you
do that the shifting on the smaller cogs will suffer, depending on their
size, as the upper pulley will be too far from the cogs. I get excellent
shifting across the entire range with a 30 tooth large cog and 14 tooth
small,
I use it with an 11-32 cassette (friction shifting) and it works fine. I
originally used it with a wolf tooth road link but realised it didn’t need
it so now run it without. No problems.

You may get lucky with a "magic gear" ratio, that doesn't require a
tensioner. This will help:

The chain will eventually stretch and droop though, and that might be
exacerbated by the longer-than-normal length.
A drum brake is probably a better idea though.
You can get 3 speed IGHs with disc mounts too.

I purchased a wheel from Mone to use on a 135 spaced Surly ECR. He spaced
it to 135 for me. Bomber wheel that has held up to a lot of off road use.
