Hi Everyone,
Shifters are sold, but I still have the derailleurs. Please let me know if
you’re interested.
Thanks!

Hi Folks,
Roberta, thanks for the lead! A CL bike is probably what I *should've*
done, but I zeroed in on an orange Cleary Owl (20") based on Nathan's tips,
and I found a shop in Haverford, PA (Mechanic Cycling) that does trade-ups
for kids' bikes. Cleary also has a 3-speed conversion kit that I
Thanks again for the suggestions, everyone. Still hoping someone will come
through with a used bike offer...Woom and Cleary would be at the top of the
list there, but I'm open, so let me know what you have!
I'm hoping to avoid the big bike companies if I buy new, although there are
some tempting

I'd love to buy a pair or two of MUSA shorts. Old style? Medium. New style?
Medium or small.
(Patagonia shorts are no longer on the trade block as I let the waist out
and now they’re super comfy.)
Thanks!

Interesting take, Patrick. I agree wholeheartedly that "...stems with
extensions used with drop bars, and bikes built to use them both, have been
around too long to be mere mistakes in design." At the same time, it seems
to me that Analog isn't saying bike design is wrong or that people have

Hi Folks,
I'm looking to buy a slate or black C17 carved. Doesn't need to be a
show-piece.
Please PM with any offers. Thanks!

OK--last try, I swear! Almost had a trade worked out, but it fell through,
so my B17 is still available to trade for a C17 carved (slate/black).
Thanks for considering!

Thanks for all the ideas! The bike I’d likely buy (if I do sell my Sam)
comes with a stem with a 31.8 clamp diameter, so I could just migrate the
Cowbell bar over to it.
Garth may be onto something, though. I could spend a bit and buy the Nitto
31.8 clamp stem—it’s cheaper (and uglier) than the

That will likely be the way I go unless anyone has another idea. I’m cheap
and feel like that’s a lot of money for a not beautiful stem.
George, thanks for the picture! I agree that it looks much better than
without the

I wholeheartedly agree that a few ounces of savings isn't really worth the
possibility of failure, and I simultaneously have
