That is a great looking QB.
I second the Pauls neos' as brilliant brakes with tektro and suntour aero
levers. I use them front and rear. Also pad choice and placement are a lot
more critical than you might think and I would play around with that a bit
too.

I would listen to Rivendell. I made the mistake of getting my first
Rivendell on the small side against their recommendation. A couple of
years later I ordered the larger frame and have been a whole lot happier
with it. I blame it on me having a Fit Kit certification and 10 years
experience
Peter,
Have you by chance check to see if the bb spindle is asymmetric- You
don't have enough space between the crank and the frame. Maybe you
can flip the bb spindle and fix that problem easy peasy.
You need a nickels width between the the crank spider if you are just
running one ring.

Hey Rivsters-
How are you all shipping bikes (conus)? I just looked up prices on
UPS and FedEX and they were both in the range of 160 bucks. Geeze
where have I been over the years, the last time I shipped a bike it
cost 40.00 buck.

Hello Rivsters,
I am cleaning out some cool parts I have had almost forever in modern
terms.
If you are interested in something let me know how much you think is
fair. We'll sort out shipping together OK. If the price seems crazy,
or if you want something let me know. I have a bunch of the sam

I might go out and try some on a rei, but I was curious about the fit.

Hello,
I am tired of sounding like a flock of birds every three or so
rides.
Have any of you used chain-L 5? I was wondering if it was cool to put
in on over a chain that has had t-9 on it. Some other lubes turn to
tar over t-9 when I used a friends lube during a trip. Normally I

Hello Mojo,
Looks like a perfect bike ride, and a very smart bike set up. I like
the god's country box.
what do you do for additional water on longer rides?

Dear Patrick,
I can't help but think that you might be rushing into this. How about
giving Sam five more rides. Now I know you are a clever guy, with
lots of miles in your legs, but it is my feeble opinion that you might
need to give it a bit more of a go.
It is a great bike. Throw a set of yo
I am thinking about putting campy shiftybrakes (ergo power) levers on

That is a sweet bike Steve. Thanks for the update on the brakes.
Thanks to the rest of you who replied too,

There was a photo taken in North western Idaho, which is east of
Montana. At that point she was about 320 miles from Seattle. You
might have to look around a bit some more on her site.

A shorter stem and a bigger/heavier front tire will help if you are
having troubles with "twitchy" front end. I don't think a dirt drop
is going to help if you end up in the same position- the bars look
high to me and it sounds like you need a bit more weight forward.
Raising the bars makes the b
Isn't one cross bike enough? Maybe a couple of wheel sets.
Maybe we should have a bike swap and send some dosh to the 3rd world.
