They just feel lighter and faster to me. They have flatted 2 or 3
times which is more that the T-Servs I used to have. But I live and
ride in NYC which is kind of rough on tires -- plenty of broken glass.

I second the 1.5 Marathon Racers. I run them on my Atlantis in NYC.
When I first got the bike I was running 1.5 inch Paselas and they felt
slow. I switched to 1.25 T-Servs. I liked them but somehow wanted
something cushier. The Racers feel very fast and cushier. I'd be
curious to try the 1.5
Congrats on the new bike. I have one question though. Isn't the
Hillborne just as heavy as the Atlantis? I thought it was made out of
the same gauge tubing and the "which bike for what" .pdf on the riv
site says it's just as tourable. Just curious as to whether this is
true or not. Thanks!

My Atlantis got a ding in the rear wheel somehow. When I turn the
bike upside down and look at the wheel spinning there is a slight up

I just switched out 26 x 1.25 Tservs for 1.5 inch Marsthon Racers and

To me, it's the ultimate Riv bike. Truly capable of doing anything.
It's not a middle of the road, good at doing a lot of things type of
all-around bike that's become popular now like the Velo Orange bikes
or the Homer Hilsen.
The tires came, tubes were installed and all is well.
By the way, the Marathon Racers after a short ride around the
neighborhood. They don't seem noticeably slower than the 1.25 inch
Tservs and they definitely take on the unavoidable bumps of Brooklyn
better. If memory serves, the 1.5 Pasela TG

I think maybe I wasn't clear. I know that the tourguards are the
folding kevlar models, but people say they prefer the non-tourguards.
