I gave a small axe to one of my children at about ten years old, a
Wetterling's with a length of about 19 inches. I think the Gränsfors Small
Forest Axe is about the same size. This is a good length for a person that
age to use two-handed, as an axe. It's easy to chop off a finger or other

My pbh is 84.5. I'm on the 55 cm Appaloosa. I'm a 5 feet 8 1/2 inches tall
mesomorph. With 700x45 tires I can straddle the bike comfortably anywhere
on the top tube and I like the fit. And I like the bike. I built mine with
the 8cm dirt drop stem. With the stem as low as it will go that puts the
95 mm on my CX-50s.

As it happens I built my Appaloosa this year with Cliffhanger rims and
CX-50 canti brakes. Everything works fine. For what it's worth, Velo Orange
700 x 63 fenders give ample clearance over Riddler 45 tires, and I had no
problem setting up the brakes to clear the fenders. - K

with them for mixed terrain Vermont riding - dirt, pavement, loose sandy
gravel, muddy town roads, under-biking forays on abandoned forest roads. -
