Looks like a fantastic ride. I'm sort of kind of considering it, but our
brevet series here in New England ends on July 26, and I'd like to have a
little more rest time before tackling the 1200. Plus, I'll be traveling
the week before, so it probably just won't work out. I did the Surf City
Hi all,
Just a few notes on the Revelate Tangle frame bag. I went ahead and
ordered the medium size to go with my 60cm Ram. (shipped to Boston
from Alaska in 3 days!) I went with the medium because I don't need a
ton of space for this bag, and I wanted to minimize any difficulty
with getting wat
I mounted a pair of Grand Bois Cypres - 700x30 (they are supposed to
actually measure 32mm, but I don't have a good way to check) - tires on my
Rambouillet this weekend and went out for a ride.
I had been debating the purchase for a little while because I was concerned
about clearance under m
Hi all,
I am looking to sell my copy of the DLG Riv poster. It has been out of the
box twice since I got it and it comes with the paper explaining the
artist's printing process. Looking to get what I paid when Rivendell did
the buy it before you see it promotion - $20, plus actual shipping.
The poster has been claimed. Thanks for all the interest!

With all the talk lately about Rambouillet serial numbers, I thought I
would post pix to RB0053, which I just completely overhauled. This
was my first time taking a bike completely apart, and then putting it
back together.

Hi all,
I have a pair of MKS Touring Lite pedals that I don't need anymore.
They are in good, used condition. Let me know if you want to see
pictures, and I can send those out.
How does $30 shipped via USPS Priority Mail sound?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi all,
Just joined the group as I just purchased a Rambouillet off
CraigsList. Sweet.
The bike came with Baggins panniers that are in need of a bit of
cleaning. Anyone have any suggestions on how to best do this? Also,
does the cotton need to be retreated at some point?
Any suggestions
Hi all,
I have an orange Rambouillet with a few nicks and scrapes. Some have
been touched up with nail polish by the previous owner, and some are
newer, showing the bare steel. I would like to redo the existing
touch up spots, and touch up the new nicks.
My concern is not so much aesthetic, bu
Hi all,
I have a 46 cm Nitto Soba bar that I am looking to trade for a 45cm
Nitto Randonneur bar. The Soba is in good condition with a few
scratches around the screened on crest. I am also looking for the
25.4 to 26mm shims to go with the Randonneur bar, if anyone has any of
those laying around
I am selling my tweed Big Loafer. It is in used good condition. It
has seem a little rain, but still looks nice. There is some
discoloration on the little D rings on the top, the snaps, and on the
leather straps that go under the bag. Inside is clean. Here is a URL

Hi all,
I am going to be riding the Surf City 600K brevet in Santa Cruz at the
end of the month and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for
bike shops in the area to check out.
Riv content = I am riding my Rambouillet.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I am selling my Brand V Handlebar bag - it is the soft one that Riv
sold several months ago, not the new BoxyBar Bag.
It has seen rain on a few long rides, but is in good condition. I
tried to take a picture of some discoloration that is by one of the
brake hood straps, but it didn't qui
I have mustache bars on my Surly Cross Check, and love them. I mostly
use this bike for commuting and other shorter rides, and find that the
bars give lots of control in terms of maneuverability and braking.
And Bruce is right, they are great for climbing. I've used this bike
on centuries and tho
Hi all,
I have a pair of 175mm Sugino XD2 crank arms that I am looking to
trade for a pair of 172.5mm XD2 arms. I would like to trade just the
arms, and not the rings. They are in good but used condition, and
have the little crown logo.
Thanks,

Hi all,
A few thoughts on lights - We bought my wife's Brompton off Craigslist with
the Shimano dyno-hub/light setup. It works great for her and does not
interfere with the fold. I think dyno-hubs are a great way to go, and have
one on my Ram that I use for brevets, so I would recommend it fo
Awesome. RB0053 lives in JP permanently. BnB is a great shop.
