In 2011 I began training to ride the Southern Tier route. That's why I bought my Hilsen. I'd never heard of Riv before that and thought a crabon racing bike was what I needed. I set a goal of 150 miles a day to finish the ride in 20 days. I'll never forget when, while asking him about the Hilsen

Watching Lon and other ultra milers on their bikes makes it look like its fun to fly along so fast. Hills must be easy and fun for them. Amazing amount of fitness. Their site lists the youngest pac tourist as 14 years old iirc. Imagine the power to weight ratio! Oldest was 78 years. -- You re

That's about the speed I ride too. It just takes a while to get there if you're going far. I'll probably take about 10.5 hours for tomorrow's 200K. On Fri, Jan 16, 2015 at 12:13 PM, lungimsam wrote: > I like to ride but not train. > So I don't think I could ever do a Pac Tour. > I go 14-16 mph.

I like to ride but not train. So I don't think I could ever do a Pac Tour. I go 14-16 mph. It would probably take a lot for me to to be able to ride at the front of a 20mph bike club. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. To unsub

I want to do one of the fast transcons with them, they do Transamerica from Oregon to Virginia in like 24 days at an average of 128 miles a day. This is the only way I could work a transcon into my work schedule. Otherwise, I have to wait 15-20 years for retirement to do a traditional transcon at

I have thought about it. I would absolutely love to do one. I've looked and dreamed a lot but in the end, I'm too chicken. I'm finally trained enough that I think I could do the distances, but I have this idea that they are doing them much faster than I could manage. The training tips state that

I just was reading about the tours and they are some amazing distances. One is around 100miles a day for 15 days or something like that. Did you use your Rivbike? How'd you train for it? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. To un
