I am a long time user of www.bikejournal.com. Track mileage on multiple bikes
as well as tires and chains. Has discussion forum similar to this list. Basic
membership is free. I use it a lot and I am a paid subscriber. Has line graph
to show progress towards any goal you set. Options for
Like many of the previous responses, I also use Strava. It works quite well for
my needs - tracking mileage and sharing ride experiences with friends (although
my primary use is to track mileage). I began using it in June of 2013 and I’m
coming up on 47,000 miles. I primarily use my iPhone to
I will more diligently use Strava next year to track miles by bike. Currently I
use Strava sometimes, and MapMyRide for bigger rides, and my commute. MapMyRide
talks to my company’s “Vitality” program, which gives me a discount on my
insurance premiums.
Strava is far superior, and is not owned
I've been using Map my Ride for about 2 1/2 years, I also uploaded Ride with
GPS, but I really haven't used it yet. At this point several people I know use
MMR, so it's hard for me to change.

I use ridewithgps's app on a phone as a cyclometer as well for navigation (when
I need it). But I don't use my actual phone. I bought an older Motorola Moto G
for $20 on eBay and use it as a WiFi only device. Ridewithgps has offline
navigation feature if you have a subscription. I tend to put
I also use and recommend cyclemeter; it works well with my iPhone(s) over the
years. It’s free, though you can pay for more advanced features if you want
them.

I've been pretty happy with the free version of Map My Ride. I have used it for
a little more than 2 years now and it has been pretty easy to use and reliable,
well, except when I destroyed my phone on one ride!
Phone apps just seem to be the most convenient and practical way of tracking
I switched to Cyclemeter a number of years ago from Endomodo and find it
much more controllable and easy to use. This must have been 2012 or 2013,
so don't know how Endomodo is now, but back then it was annoying.
I use 1 iPhone for 4 bikes and record the mileage on a complex spreadsheet

I use the Endomondo app on my phone.
It's okay for the most part, however I get frustrated when the timer keeps
running when I am stopped for a few minutes.
I am not sure why that happens sometimes and sometimes not.
Dang it, when I know I have averaged 11 or 12 miles per hour I do

Cyclemeter on my cell phone. Easy to use, free, tracks what I want it to
track and a lot more, but doesn't force these things on me. Works fine on
iPhone 5S.

I use Strava with my cell phone. There are other cell phone apps that probably
work well also. The reasons I like it:
1. I use the free subscription
2. I’d probably have my phone with me anyway
3. I can easily track the mileage for each bike as well as the components on
the bike, if I I
