I like drillium & high flange too. My 1974ish Ron Kitching came with lots
of factory drillium: drilled first gen Dura Ace brake levers, a drilled
Crane rear derailleur and a drilled Titlist front, and a drilled Sugino
52/47 crankset. I like it
I am sure about the weight. I have a Park DS-1 bike scale. I weighed it
when I took the photos. I coated the inside of the frame. The wide B-68 is
heavier than a B-17, The stem is steel. The 105 rear derailleur has steel
parts. The Noodles are the widest width I could get. It has 44 mm wide
Sam Hillbornes are wonderful bikes. I’m grateful that I have one. Yours is a
beauty!

Too hard to rustproof
I haven't personally drilled any holes in anything, but I did consider
getting a kickstand and going after it with the drill press.
