When folks are asking $200 on CL for rusty all original (dry rotted tires, rusty cables, etc) Schwinn Varsities then $180 for a nice BStone, low end or not, is a deal. On Sunday, December 15, 2013 10:28:28 PM UTC-8, Joe Bernard wrote: Now now, Shawn :) $180 is a fair price, and that's a

LOL, that's true Ryan that some of those CL listings are truly absurd, particularly in the Bay Area. On Monday, December 16, 2013 10:40:24 AM UTC-8, RoadieRyan wrote: When folks are asking $200 on CL for rusty all original (dry rotted tires, rusty cables, etc) Schwinn Varsities then $180

True, and my admonition that the '92 XO-3 is lowest-end is not the same as low-end. Bridgestone didn't do cheap, lousy bikes. Some were just less expensive, a bit heavier, and lugless. My '93 XO-5 (same bike, new number) was a great city bike which I also took to the singletrack (with the stock

Tony, thanks! Unfortunately my bike herd is in thinning mode especially where it comes to overlap/redundancy, so I don't need another XO-3 right now. (XO 1 or 2, maybe for the right price!) And after all this banter, it would be nice if Captain Conway shows some photos of his bike and how much

Buyers please be aware that this is the TIGed lowest-end model that became the XO-5 in 93/94. It's a 700c-wheeled bike which resembled the rash of hybrids on the market at that time. It was my first Bridgestone and a good one, but it bears little resemblance to the later lugged XO-3s, or any

Hey, no bashing the 1992 XO-3! Yes, yes, it was the low end of the 92 XOs, TIG welded (gasp!) and with 700C wheels (double gasp!) Yes, yes, it will never be as cool as the 26 wheeled XOs. As for resembling the rash of hybrids, it clearly stated in the 92 catalog that it was Better than your

Now now, Shawn :) $180 is a fair price, and that's a nice bike. The '94 TIGed 700c XO-4 is pretty sweet, too, and quite rare. I've never seen one other than new-at-the-dealer back in the day. On Sunday, December 15, 2013 8:15:19 PM UTC-8, Shawn Granton wrote: Hey, no bashing the 1992 XO-3!
