It's hard to put into words just how 'right' a 700c Hilsen looks with
700x40s and no fenders. Is that Railroad Grade trail? The photo is
unmistakeably taken FROM Mt Tamalpais. We're looking over Southern Marin.
Angel Island is in the middle, and Mount Diablo is that peak in the

Thanks Bill. I did fender it for awhile, but some time during the drought they
came off and never went back on. I do prefer it fenderless. With all these
fires I'd happily fender back up if it brought the rain though :/
Definitely ORRG on Tam. The Homer tackles that no problem. Lots of fun fire
I have been out there on a road bike recently. San Francisco Randonneurs has a
mixed terrain 200k out there and I’ve been pre-riding big chunks of the course.
The Marin Mountains 200k was supposed to happen on the 14th but they
rescheduled it to the 28th because of the unhealthy air quality.
That is a beautiful bike. But, I thought the 65's were double top tube.
