11-50 10 speed cassette and Shimano 10 speed road bar end levers and a shadow
rear derailleur is...

When Shimano went to 10-speed on road and MTB, they kept the pull ratio the
same for road but changed it for MTB, so 10-speed road and MTB are not
compatible. If you're using a 10-speed Shimano road shifter and a 10-speed
Shimano MTB derailleur and 10-speed cassette, then to get indexed shifting
I seem to recall - but can't find the reference - that Shimano cable pulls
for road/MTB rear derailleurs/shifters were incompatible starting with the
10 speed groups, and continuing with 11sp and 12sp. Here's the Shimano
