I brought mine on a ride the other day with my 10 year old. It got a little
cold and I offered them to him. He cracked up looking at them! He accepted the
gloves I was wearing and I took the half mitts. Worked like a charm.
They are up there with splats, ponchos and the wind bib thing on high
Really bummed these are going away and haven't been very popular. Seems be
inevitable for most clothing / parts / tools that are particularly good yet
cheap-- they are suddenly discontinued! I layer my half mitts over gripper
gloves in winter. That set up is good for down to 20 degrees or so
Depending on temps your dealing with there are a number of alternatives,
all of them some combination of gloves and overmits. Look for chopper
mitts, a leather overmitt. Those combined with your riding gloves may do
you pretty well. If you need more warmth, just wear wool gloves instead of
