This year's Fargo Street climb is in about a week, March 15th, organized by the LA Wheelmen. Not a race, but a friendly contest to see who can climb it the most times in a row. Ouch. The city lists it as 32%, most folks say it's 33%, sometimes it's claimed to be 35%. I'm a believer in the 33%

Fargo St in Los Angeles is supposed to be really steep. I seem to remember a 33% or 35% grade. It's been a long time. I think a race is held on it as well. On Mar 2, 8:17 pm, rob markwardt robmar...@hotmail.com wrote: I just Googled it - it's tied for the steepest street in The City at

Great set. There's a lot of killer hills in San Diego. Close to my work there's a 28.6 grade (Poe St. in Point Loma) which I plan to ride up on a lunch hour. Hopefully it will make the 400 foot climb home seem easier. Bill in San Diego On Sun, Mar 1, 2009 at 11:58 PM, rob markwardt

My wife and I had dinner in San Francisco on Valentine's Day. The only parking space we could find was on the 1100 block of Filbert St. It's steep enough to have stairs instead of flat sidewalks. It's so steep that all parking is 90 degrees to the curb to prevent runaways. So steep my bride
