meant that filth that turns black due to grease, oil or other lubricants. I
prefer silver components myself since I can better tell when they need a

Actually, black shows up dust more than lighter colors; I can't speak about
mud. The silty sand around here (get it wet and it turns to clay) makes a
mess out of the Monocog after just one ride.
