Long ago, when I still ran, I recall running in my parents' NW GA
subdivision during the hotter part of the year (11 months of out of 12)
carrying a water bottle. A neighbor's little terrier would always launch
itself at my ankles as I trundled by, and I remember leaning down and

I loved your story and it gave much needed laughter. Thank you!
However, take care of yourself so that you may write, and we may enjoy,
more stories. I liked Pano's suggestion of using a water bottle spray.
I've never traveled with pepper spray.

Thanks, you guys. I forgot my pepper spray that day, not that I'd have had it
together enough to aim anyway. I should have also thought of the bike as a
shield defense, but I didn't. That would have worked but for the dog in the
Wald.
Scary, Panog! Missing part of its snout? Good heavens.
Great story!

great story, seems like you post them regularly but I'm new and this is my
first one. What is TBBITW? I sat around guessing and came up with The
Biggest Bike In The World? Do I win a cookie!?

Leah,
Great story.I'm glad it had a happy ending.
Those are called "interval training rides" or "Sprint to the finish
training rides".
Or "How to reach your anaerobic threshold in one mile" rides.

Leah, you are a hell of a funny, engaging writer, and I am glad all emerged
unscathed and the story had a happy ending
Must be the mojo from owning the BBITW, I'm sure

Wondrous flavors of whimsy and terror, and mirth reminiscent of AA Milne
and James Herriot. Delightful!

Honestly, this is one of the things I like about my ebike, especially on the
hills I can't climb fast. Vallejo has a bad "it's cool to walk my scary dog off
leash" problem, and I REALLY like being able to get the hell outta there.
Leah's story is cute 'cause of the size of the chaser and how fun
That's such a wonderful funny story!!! Now you know why you may think about
riding with 2 GoPro cameras, one facing forward and one facing rearwards.
You never know when they're going to come in handy!
Still laughing hard!
