I have about 1 cm clearance on my Roadeo on both the front and back
calipers with Tektro 539s with GB Cypres tires, which run about 30 mm (no
fender mounted).

Yep, now that’s a nice plan. Expensive, but nice.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I should really just get a second Roadeo and
put fenders, 28s, and lights on it.

My Roadeo is a very early one. I’m running Stampede Pass ELs on HED 23mm rims
(outside width). With that setup the tires are 32.2mm by my reckoning.
I really like the clearances to the brake calipers with this setup without
fenders. The smallest gap at any point to the brake caliper is about 6m
I experimented with 35mm ELs under 45mm SKS on my RAM. Enough room to make
me comfortable, but I prefer 32s and for this setup lots of room.

There's always the option of splitting the fender at the brake bridge, but you
need to get creative with your hardware/riveter, and there's the ugliness...

Oh: 57 mm max calipers, single pivots. Open Pros on the Ram, 19 and 21s
(outside) on the Road, but tire measurements are actual.
(That should read "31-32" of course.)

Not a Roadeo, but a 2nd iteration Rambouillet: 35-labled/31-22-actual
Kojaks under SKS fenders, with sufficient air. Heck, I've done similar with
one of my road customs, which I am pretty sure has less clearance than the
Ram did.
I *think* that the Roadeo has similar clearances, no?

RBWOBers,
Have any of you Roadeo owners managed to install fenders AND 32mm tires? If
so, what's the trick (aside from a tolerance for scant clearance)?
Centerpull brakes? Skinny rims? Tires that aren't actually 32mm?
Post your advice, please!
