I really like the mondials. These are the 700c x 47, but to my eye
(haven't measured) they seem narrower than the 700c x 45 bitumens that
came with the bike. I've been riding these mondials for a couple
years, I think. I don't put in that many miles, but they have barely
worn. I get flats with thes
It's probably because I came off jones bar to the chocomoose, but the
chocomoose seemed too narrow to me. This jones bar is the extrawide
version, and I've thought about cutting it down. So far the extra
inches haven't been a bother, but really I don't use the ends of the
bar hardly ever.

Very nice progress!

Very nice Patrick. I like the way your Joe is evolving. I'm seeing a lot of
smart and fun touches. Zip tie-ing the saddle security to the seat post. Fun
pink tape-ing the basket to the rack. The Chocomoose bar design always struck
me as somewhat "Jonesy". Not surprised to see one show up on an A
I've put together an album with a lot of tedious details about how I've
configured my joe appaloosa, including:
* surly front rack
* jones loop h-bar
* interesting rear light mounting
